President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo stands before the members of the Joint Congress and calls on the government to be more accountable to the people and serve as the helping hand in order for us to achieve our aspirations. She called on the entire Filipino people to be one nation with one fate.

Despite the bad weather today, the State of the Nation Address or SONA 2008 of President Gloria Macapagal- Arroyo at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City will not be stop. Also the the anti-government groups will continue there rally along with the SONA of the President. On the July 28, 2008 the State of the Nation Address of the President will take place at Batasang Pambasa in Quezon City. As the government prepare for this event all school near or around the premises was suspended for the said event only that day. Again the President will talk about her plan on the coming years and also discuss on subsidy, electricity, food production & infrastructure.
