Morgan Freeman is doing well after surgery to reconnect nerves and repair damage to his left arm and hand following a car wreck, his publicist said.
The surgery Monday night “lasted approximately four and a half hours including recovery and he is in good spirits and was visiting with family members this morning,” Donna Lee, Freeman’s publicist, said in a statement today.

Despite the bad weather today, the State of the Nation Address or SONA 2008 of President Gloria Macapagal- Arroyo at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City will not be stop. Also the the anti-government groups will continue there rally along with the SONA of the President. On July 28 this year President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will have her State of the Nation Address. According to the Press Release of the Office of the President, “PGMA’s SONA 2008 will center on subsidy, electricity, food production & infrastructure according to Sec. Ermita”. We are still hoping for a change in this country we just need to be strong and of course remove all the corrupt officials hehehe.

The WIlliamses marched on to set up a third family final, while Germany’s Rainer Schuettler overcame his fellow non-seed Arnaud Clement in a marathon match spread over five hours and two days.
Venus and Serena Williams dodged rain delays and second-set fightbacks by their respective opponents to set up a family affair on ladies’ singles final day. As their fellow seeds have dropped one by one, the sisters have looked more and more convincing, and on Thursday they even advanced by similar scorelines.
Defending champion Venus completed her 6-1, 7-6 (7-3) win over Elena Dementieva without interruption from the weather, but the Russian fifth seed might have been praying for the heavens to open during the first set of their match.
After electing to serve first – an intriguing choice given the scrutiny of her weak delivery over the years – Dementieva was broken by Williams in the first game. Had she been able to convert one of four chances for an immediate break back, the match may have been very different. Instead, the Russian only just managed to get on to the scoreboard in the opener.

A judge ordered YouTube to produce data on which of its videos get viewed most often and by whom.
U.S. District Judge Louis L. Stanton authorized full access to the YouTube logs after Viacom Inc. and other copyright holders argued that they needed the data to show whether their copyright-protected videos are more heavily watched than amateur clips.
The data would not be publicly released but disclosed only to the plaintiffs, and it would include less specific identifiers than a user’s real name or e-mail address.
Lawyers for Google Inc., which owns YouTube, said producing 12 terabytes of data — equivalent to the text of roughly 12 million books — would be expensive, time-consuming and a threat to users’ privacy.

THE OUTFIT which markets the Firefox web browser, the Mozzarella Foundation, has heard from record keepers that it now holds the world record for the largest number of software downloads in a 24-hour period.
Guinness officials have decided that the final 8,002,530 downloads for Firefox 3.0, which took place last month, was indeed a world record.
A big cheese in Mozzarella’s marketing department, Paul Kim said that the enthusiasm and creativity of Firefox fans was the key to making this happen.
